(NECN) Lisa Lavoie, the former Holyoke teacher who plead guilty after having a relationship with a student, has been charged with violating her probation after the student she had a relationship with was found hiding in her closet.

Back in February 2009, Lavoie ran off with one of her students, who was 15-year-old at the time. Lavoie was a teacher at the Donahue School on Whiting Farms Road in Holyoke.

The pair was found several days later in a motel room in West Virginia. Lavoie pleaded guilty to three counts of statutory rape and one count of enticement of a child in January 2011. She was sentenced to five years probation.

The Hampden County Superior Clerk's office says that Lavoie had checked in with a probation officer Friday at the Hampden County Hall of Justice.

That night, a probation officer conducted a unannounced spot check at Lavoie's residence, according to court officials. While there, the officer found the male victim, who is now 18 years old, hiding in a closet.
