A 20-year-old Middletown man who decided to celebrate landing a new job by firing gunshots into the sky Saturday night faces criminal charges, police said.

Investigators plan to charge the man, whose name has not yet been released, with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct and perhaps other charges, Officer Wade Bloom said.

Neighbors in the 300 block of Aspen Street reported three separate rounds of gunfire starting around 9 p.m. and ending about 10:30 p.m., Bloom said. Police responded three times before making the arrest.
