K9 To Sport New Body Armor
After reading this, it made me wonder if they ever have tried Kevlar saddle pads for police horses? I know it sounds kind of off-the-wall, but if you are protecting police canines, shouldn't at least some protection be considered for horses?

I asked about that down here, the problem is the heat. We regularly top 100 degrees in the summer, and the dogs would basically get heat stroke.
