Trayvon Martin protest closes Sanford Police Department
More here: http://www.local10.com/news/Trayvon-...z/-/index.htmlA group of students protesting the Trayvon Martin shooting on Monday blocked the entrance to the Sanford Police Department by kneeling in front of the doors, forcing the department to close.
No arrests have been made in the protest, which comes a day after the students, who call themselves the Dream Defenders, completed a 40-mile, three-day march from Daytona Beach to Sanford, where Martin, 17, was shot and killed by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman in late February.

My opinion of the shot callers in Sanford, FL continues to reach new lows.

So because you're pissed, you're going to shutdown an essential public service so now NONE of the taxpayers have access to police assistance. Real smart.

Police Officers put themselves at risk for strangers every day. Some do not make it home to their families. Next time you think of saying something negative about the police, remember...YOU are one of the strangers.

So, no arrests were made? Why not? I think that would've made arrests for "Interfering or hindering the duties of a public official" and t would be a good charge. Shutting down a PD is wrong. The protestors can have their gathering, it's a constitutional right, but when they shut down a public safety department, then IMHO that becomes a hostile demonstration.
ridiculous!Wiping the turds of humanity from the ass of society from 1600 to midnight.

I believe that around here, the jail would have a fresh influx of people charged with "Obstructing Governmental Operations."
I can't believe they allowed themselves to get shut down. The protestors are now responsible for anything that happens in that time frame now, so far as I'm concerned.
It'd be poetic justice if their homes were burglarized...

Scared.
