The special prosecutor in the Trayvon Martin case will announce criminal charges against George Zimmerman about 6 p.m. ET Wednesday, a law enforcement official told NBC News.

There is no way that this guy will get a fair trial. He'll be found guilty, if fo no other reason than to stop the race baiters from starting riots. If he's guilty, he deserves punishment. If he's not guilty, he shouldn't be railroaded. Either way, he is entitled to a fair trial, buyt I don't see that happening.

There'[s no way he's going to get a fair trial because there's been so much publicity and tainting of the evidence in the media that they'll have a hell of a time sitting a jury.

And he's not got the resources of OJ Simpson or others to get out of it...

Zimmerman's going to be sacrificed... and we'll still be know closer to actually knowing what happened.

This incident has been tried and convicted in the media. No matter the outcome, no matter the evidence, if Zimmerman is or is not arrested is or is not convicted it will be wrong. In the minds of the American public there will never be justice for whomever the victim turns out to be. It would be nice to know at least some official evidence besides the 911 tapes before minds are made up.

I found a site that "I think" has the unedited version. However, I haven't found much of anything else. I did see in one report, if you can believe what anyone is saying, that the person responsible for the editing was fired. Not much consolation at this point though. Media caters to ratings.

Two people know exactly what happend during the altercation, and one of them is dead.

The media has already tried and convicted Zimmerman so he might as well get used to solitary for the next many years.

Anybody actually read the PC affidavit? From my own experience (no homicide, not FL), it's scant... and has a lot of unsupported conjecture in it.

Zimmerman should be charged with something, but 2nd degree murder isn't it, IMO. Some type of Reckless Conduct or Breach of the Peace type charge, maybe.

I hope like hell Zimmerman sues the crap out of the media outlet that fired that producer for editing the 911 call, as well as ABC for saying Zimmerman wasn't injured in police footage when he was injured.

I think that there's a good case for manslaughter. I question whether the Stand Your Ground law is going to hold up in this application; Zimmerman did a whole lot to create the situation, and it's unclear who attacked whom...

Proximate cause arguments are not suited for justifiable homicide.

If the kid was bouncing his head on the pavement, it doesn't matter if he started the problem by following the kid.

Not going to grand jury was a mistake. I too think this dimwit started this. My question is which party took it to far? I'll say it. Had George Zimmerman or George Jetson been following me in such a manner as to cause me concern and attack me I would pound the piss out of them. Pull a pistol and I would have shoved it up their ass sideways and pulled the trigger myself.
On the flip side had I been attacked after I had I withdrawn in good faith defense is the front line issue.
I anxiously await to see if this trial will validate this incident in any way.
