Stand by. The TMZ story comments have some pretty idiotic statements in it; mostly with anti law enforcement rhetoric.

Another tragic loss to society. The real tragedy is that this asshat will get more press than any soldier that has died defending his country, or officer that sacrificed their life in the line of duty. We sure live in an F'd-up world!
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

I remember watching the riots. I was off the night it started and the whole shift that was working that night was at my house at one time or another watching. You had to figure he was not going to be around long the way he lived.

I was a senior in high school when the riots happened. A bunch of idiots in the school started jumping around, shouting and trying to bring the riots home. Fortunately they were dealt with immediately and harshly.

Talked to soje west coast cops shortly after the incident. They were in IA and saw the WHOLE TAPE. The defense wasn't allowed to play the whole tape, so they swaid. Kinds a believe them, knowing California justice. Anywho, no big loss to mankind, however, the big loss is that they have to drain the pool and waste all that water.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."

It's pretty disheartening to hear negative things said about him. He was an addict, plain and simple. We've seen enough of them, I would think to garner our sympathy more than vitriol.
No doubt he was a victim of his addiction. It's very sad and tragic- like so many addictions end."If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking." -Gen. George S. Patton

To say that Rodney's only problem was his "addiction" is pretty naive. But just talking about his "addiction", its hard to have any compassion for someone who CHOSE that addiction and caused so much pain and suffering for so many.
