Just got back to my JD from this. Chaos, but that was expected. All LEO's are okay though. Prayers to the victims and their families.

Thoughts and prayers to all of the victims families.
It still boggles my mind as to why people like this commit such horrendous acts of violence.

My brothers and sisters in Colorado will certainly be glad when this year is over. Prayers for the victims.

We can't catch a break here in Colorado. My brothers and sisters in the Metro area, keep your head on a swivel while you clear that place and his apt.
This is why I carry a gun when I go out. Every. Time. From then news report, he folded like a deck of cards when the guns were pointed at him in the parking lot by our brothers and sisters.
That place needed a sheepdog last night. My prayers go out to all involved. The world would be much cleaner if blind people carried brooms instead of sticks.
At communion, when the priest says "Body of Christ", I say "Thanks, I've been working out", then I grab the cracker and run back to my seat

They've got us surrounded? Good. Now we can fire in any direction. Those bastards won't get away this time.

It's an incredibly chaotic scene, but I'd say the police and dispatcher did a phenomenal job. The radio traffic was generally incredibly concise and clear.

I was following this from the word go last night when the news started rolling in. By the time I got home and turned on tv coverage this morning, the idiot speculators had taken over, so it was definitely time for bed.
My thoughts to you guys working this, and to the victims."Like" us on facebook! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Offic...93147194083228

This was the same dispatcher it sounds like who was on the metro patched interop channel that all responders came onto. She did an unbelievable job even when the hundreds of mutual aid guys came onto her air.

Terrible, terrible news...thoughts go out to the victims, families and all first responders to the job.I've read how it went down in the media here, very sad.
I had to shake my head at a morning show here today whilst waiting for the news broadcast. During a cross to nearby the scene, the anchor asked this of the reporter:
"How are the movie-goers? Were they aware of what was happening, or did they think it was part of the movie?" Are you F$%king kidding me?? An idiot talking for the sake of listening to their own voice..."Contrary to popular belief, you will not rise to the occasion, but will fall to the level of your training"

Hawk, apparently at the very beginning some people did think it was special effects for the midnight showing. He opened with a smoke bomb and opened fire during a gunfight that was on screen. People didn't know to duck until it was too late.
