Child murderer Subhan Anwar killed in Long Lartin Prison

A man who was jailed for life for torturing and murdering his partner's two-year-old daughter has been killed in prison.
Subhan Anwar was convicted in February 2009 of the murder of Sanam Navsarka, of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
He was sentenced to a minimum term of 23 years in jail.
Anwar died at Long Lartin Prison in Worcestershire on Thursday, the Ministry of Justice said. Two other prisoners have been arrested.
Anwar is understood to have been held hostage in a cell before he was killed.
