Elderly Man Kills Burglar - Burglar's Family Says He Should Have Been Warned
An armed elderly man in Dallas shot and killed a suspected burglar after finding him trying to break into his Dallas home this week. However, he was also forced to defend his actions after the would-be robber’s family showed up at his home.
The homeowner, a repeat burglary victim, found 33-year-old Deyfon Pipkins attempting to climb in the house through the window and fired at least one shot at the criminal, hitting his target.

Some of those family members showed up at the house and expressed their anger at the homeowner for not issuing a “warning.”
“He could have used a warning,” Lakesha Thompson, Pipkins’ sister-in-law, said. “He could have let him know that he did have a gun on his property and he would use it in self-defense.”
I know that they were upset at their loss but the comments by the family burn me up. The burglar had 18 pages of warnings/chances in his criminal history. Apparently he doesn't heed warnings or accept 2nd, 3rd, or any number of chances. Well, he's had his last one now.*************************"It wouldn't take much for me to up and run...to another life somewhere in the sun."

He has already killed once in self defense. The family might want to take that as a warning.

A) The suspect should have warned the victim he was going to burglarize the victim's house.
B) Warning hell, he cured him.SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."

Fuck the suspects family. Maybe they shouldn't have bred a shithead. With any luck they will get shot next time they break into a place.

Warnings wouldn't have helped. A dead relative is a huge "warning" to the rest of his shithead family that this guy's house is not one to be taken lightly. They didn't heed that warning and showed up anyway bitching about their dead idiot burgling relative. They clearly have trouble with the whole concept of "warnings" as a family.

02-22-13, 02:23 AM #6The "warning" would be that he couldn't walk through the front door. As for letting him know that he had a gun.....this is Texas & most people do. As far as the fact that he would use it in self-defense.....Ain't much need in having it if ya ain't gonna use it.“He could have used a warning,” Lakesha Thompson, Pipkins’ sister-in-law, said. “He could have let him know that he did have a gun on his property and he would use it in self-defense.”Blessed are the the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. The POS decided to live by preying on others. Good riddance. If his family had loved him, they'd have kicked his ass years ago. I wonder how many of them he stole from first, and they're conveniently forgetting about it?

Hell... he doesn't need a special warning. There's this thing called the law book, that it seems the former mouth-breathing knucklehead had acquired some practical familiarity with, which says "don't go into other people's houses without permission... This being Texas, ya jist might get yourself shot dead" if at greater length...
