I didn't see any temps below 34* while working last night. But the wind was cold enough to hurt. I was glad to get out of there before any moisture hit; drivers around here are not known for their ability to drive on slick roads. But I was literally in a T-shirt yesterday, & I've got a fire in the fireplace today.Blessed are the the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. MATT 5:10

We saw a 20 plus degree drop here. I am willing to bet in January when the Chinook winds blow in, that xiphos will be topping the record for temp swing. I saw -35 to +50 over 2.5 hours one winter. He who has the money, signs the cheques.

North Texas was horrible to drive through on Sunday. All the roads were packed with ice. Looks like the roads dept. didn't put down de-icer before the storm which resulted in ice sheets sticking to the road like glue. I-35 was gridlock from Dallas all the way to the Oklahoma border. As soon as we crawled onto the Oklahoma side the roads immediately cleared up. Turned an 18 hour car ride into 22 hrs.

I am staying right here. Remember, folks, winter starts in less than two weeks!
"Another December day and another Wind Chill Advisory that will hang around through the Noon hour as wind chills will range from 15 to 30 below zero. Still frigid this afternoon but some sunshine may help your mood as temperatures will hover right around zero. A few flakes may return to the area late tonight as our next little clipper rolls through the area. A dusting is possible, otherwise slightly warmer on Tuesday before our next cold blast Midweek. Finally though, a warming trend starts on Thursday with temperatures closer to average by the weekend."
