SAN DIEGO – A suspected drunken driver crashed his car in Mountain View Friday morning and then reported that he had been carjacked, police said.
The man told officers he stopped his 2001 Lexus at a red light at 35th Street and Martin Avenue just after 3 a.m. when he was approached by two men with a gun who demanded the car, said San Diego police Sgt. Kerry Tom.

He later admitted that he crashed into a parked car at 35th Street and Florence Street and walked home.
Police have not determined if charges will be filed against him.
