Lion Mutilates 42 Midgets in Cambodian Ring-Fight
Spectators cheered as entire Cambodian Midget Fighting League squared off against African Lion
Tickets had been sold-out three weeks before the much anticipated fight, which took place in the city of Kâmpóng Chhnãng.
The fight was slated when an angry fan contested Yang Sihamoni, President of the CMFL, claiming that one lion could defeat his entire league of 42 fighters.
Sihamoni takes great pride in the league he helped create, as was conveyed in his recent advertising campaign for the CMFL that stated his midgets will "... take on anything; man, beast, or machine."
This campaign is believed to be what sparked the undisclosed fan to challenge the entire league to fight a lion; a challenge that Sihamoni readily accepted.
An African Lion (Panthera Leo) was shipped to centrally located Kâmpóng Chhnãng especially for the event, which took place last Saturday, April 30, 2005 in the city’s coliseum.
The Cambodian Government allowed the fight to take place, under the condition that they receive a 50% commission on each ticket sold, and that no cameras would be allowed in the arena.
The fight was called in only 12 minutes, after which 28 fighters were declared dead, while the other 14 suffered severe injuries including broken bones and lost limbs, rendering them unable to fight back.
Sihamoni was quoted before the fight stating that he felt since his fighters out-numbered the lion 42 to 1, that they “… could out-wit and out-muscle [it].”
Unfortunately, he was wrong.\\` ` ` ` < ` )___/\

Damn I'd like to see this in our criminal justice system. Get 50 of our death row inmates against 1 lion. If the inmates win, let um go if not oh, well get some more! Of course the inmates would be unarmed, as they should, they lion is!
Just because your sign off after you're shift is done, doesn't mean that it's over and put blinders on. You're a cop 24/7 wether you like it or not. If thats something you can't handle, you should find a new line of work!

I dont know wether to laugh or shake my head at the total stupidity of it all.
Lets see..the average lions claw (of which they have 4 per paw) is 3 to 4 inches in length...about the size of your middle finger. Couple that with the sheer crushing power of the jaw....
If they had that here, i bet it sure would start to be used to deter crime. I mean who wants to go to prison when they would have to fight a lion? Come to think of it, that idea would save us quite a bit of taxpayers money.

Why not tagteam him with a tiger then put it on pay-per-view I'd happly shell out £50 to watch that
Evey Hammond: Who are you?
V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what, and what I am is a man in a mask.
Evey Hammond: Well I can see that.
V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.

Morons!
OK, now here is the biggest? What Idiot would say: "Yeah, I will go up against a lion even though I am ONLY 3feet tall. Bring'em on!"
I am afraid I would have to quit before I got into the ring with a lion, regardless of how many of us were in there.
OK, get in the ring with that lion, and whoop him!

Waste of good midgets if you ask me.
And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.
In Nomine Patris, Et Filli, Et Spiritus Sancti.
