MISSION VALLEY – A 36-year-old man who got into a fight across the street from an El Torito restaurant was struck in the face with a shotgun and then shot in the chest yesterday morning, San Diego police said.

The victim, who was reported in serious condition, was hit with seven buckshot pellets outside the restaurant on Camino del Rio South near state Route 163 about 12:50 a.m.
Police said the man was fighting with several other men, and that the incident may be gang-related.
