Taser wins again
21st and 22nd Product Liability Lawsuits Dismissed Against TASER International
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., July 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- TASER International, Inc. (Nasdaq:TASR), a market leader in advanced electronic control devices announced that the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Eastern Division at Columbus, entered an order dismissing the product liability lawsuit filed by Tina Stevens against TASER International, Inc. In addition, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas entered an order dismissing the product liability lawsuit filed by David Howard against TASER International, Inc. There is a companion case brought by David Howard that is still pending against TASER International in the State of Arizona. These are the twenty-first and twenty-second wrongful death or injury lawsuits that have been dismissed or judgment entered in favor of TASER International.

Unfortunately, I think the strategy is to bankrupt the company by making it fight lawsuits, and eventually they may get a favorable jury. Tort reform is needed.

The taser has probably been the most effective crime prevention tool I have ever seen or heard of. The street knows that thing before they ever see it. I had a guy yesterday that pointed to it and said I heard those things hurt. I told 'em you are right, they make ya miserable. Stopped the stupidity right then. That is what I am looking for. Less stupidity. That is what taser gives.
