Wife of former prison-bound Enron CEO Ken Lay denounces faking death allegations
The Death of Ken Lay has brought forth voices of many questioning the validity of his death. Lay, who was awaiting word on what could have been a 20 year sentence for fraud, was pronounced dead at 3:11 a.m. at an Aspen, Colorado hospital.
The general consensus among the blogosphere was disbelief. Many state Lay's death was staged in order for the ex-CEO to enjoy an extended Mexico vacation free from prosecution.
Linda Lay has released a photo of husband moments after he was pronounced dead. "I hope this will shut up all those doubting Thomas's out there.' She explained. "How 'bout we just move on, and not actually look for him anywhere out of the country."
"Cause it's not like he is hiding."
"He's dead, see?"
Upon an abrupt end to statements from Mrs. Lay, we learned part of her grieving process is to pack up all his belongs in suitcases and research exotic island in Greece.
"It makes me feel better. Now, excuse me, I have a tanning appointment."

I believe he's dead, but I don't doubt that his death was somehow orchestrated by himself or those who benefit from it. The guy was old and facing prison for the rest of his life, maybe he realized the only way to leave the money in his family was to bite the dust. Or maybe his wife thought about how nice a bank balance like that might be.

Liberals hate Ken Lay more than they hate Al Qaeda.
He's a rich white guy: The only kind of criminal for which they don't beg mercy.
The only kind they could never feel sorry for.

I have a buddy who was on that call from Pitkin County. Lay is dead. He did not fake his own death!!!!!!

If your enemy is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him. If your opponent is temperamental, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. If sovereign and subject are in accord, put division between them. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected.

If he was going to fake his death, I would think he would have done it after he found out how long of a prison term he was to serve.
