Bandit Blurts Out Partner's Name During Robbery - Police Arrest All 4 Gunmen

Allen, TX -- officers responding to a robbery at a restaurant couldn't help but chuckle when they learned one of the bandits made a crucial mistake, calling another by his name.

Police looked for clues at the scene of a crime, including fingerprints and DNA, but it didn't take anything high-tech to solve one Tuesday morning.

At closing time at the Braum's in the 1200 block of McDermott, four gunmen barged in, ordered employees to the floor and grabbed cash, police said.

"Officers were on the scene within about 90 seconds when the call went out," Allen police Cpl. Jon Felty said.

It wasn't the quick response that solved this caper as one of the bandits left an important clue.

"Apparently sometime during the course of the robbery, one of them called the other by the first name," Felty said.

Police said one of the robbers blurted out the name "Ryan" when he yelled across the store to his accomplice.

Officers guessed right away it was Ryann Moses, a troublemaker they had dealt with before.

"Patrol officers went to a location where Ryann was known to reside and found the vehicle that was reported to have been involved in the parking lot," Felty said.

Within four hours, police found Moses, his cohorts, their guns, and the loot from the robbery, police said.

"It's a story (that shows) crime does not pay, and it's a situation we're grateful nobody was injured," Felty said.

It's also a lesson about how criminals with loose lips don't make it far.

"The plan came together, but it didn't execute very well," Felty said.
