Maine still the whitest state in the nation

Maine's minority populations are on the rise, but according to the U.S. Census Bureau, Maine is still the whitest in the country.

The black population in the state has almost doubled over the past 5 years. But the census bureau estimated Maine's black population only makes up 1% of the entire population.

DeKalb County and Macon are 2 of the blackest areas in Georgia...maybe even compared to a lot of other states. Oh and Gainesville has a high population of Mexicans.
