Driver Shot 10 Times With Taser Gun

FORT WORTH, Texas -- A North Texas man in jail on charges of impersonating a police officer and robbery said he did it to save lives.

Micheal Reilley said he saw someone driving a pickup truck erratically on Interstate 30 in Dallas Sunday morning.

Reilley, thinking the driver of the truck was under the influence, called 911 and said he was an Arlington officer in need of assistance.

"Technically, I know that was wrong, OK. I know I shouldn't have done that," said Reilley.

Before Dallas police arrived, the driver of the pickup truck, Carlos Lopez, pulled over.

Reilley, still claiming to be a police officer, also pulled over. The two men started fighting after Reilley identified himself as a officer and asked for Lopez's wallet. Reillen then shot Lopez 10 times with a Taser gun, police said.

"I was going to make a citizen's arrest," said Reilley.

When the police arrived and sorted everything out, they arrested Reilley on charges of impersonating a police officer and robbery. Reilley was found to be carrying Lopez's wallet.

Lopez was released at the scene.

Reilley said he did it all because his brother-in-law was killed by a drunken driver. Reilley apologized to the Dallas police for the way he handled the situation.

"I know they'll never understand what I did unless that truck had killed somebody they loved," said Reilley.

What a dirtbag. If they let Lopez go at the scene, that tells he wasn't even DUI you ficking moron!!!!!!!

Personally, I would laughed my ass off if the guy just pulled out a pepper gun and blew that idiot in half. "I'll see you're taser, and raise you .00 buck."
