Woman drives drunk to turn herself in on drunk driving charge...DOH!
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- A woman turning herself in on a drunken driving charge may have picked the wrong time to drive to the Iowa City police station.
That's because police said she drove there drunk.
According to a criminal complaint, 23-year-old Debbie Hansen, of Cedar Rapids, was turning herself in on a July drunken driving charge when she went to the police station Friday evening.
Police said they smelled what they believed to be alcohol and asked her to take sobriety tests.
Records showed that Hansen submitted to those tests, and her blood-alcohol level was .15.
The complaint said Hansen admitted to drinking vodka before driving from Cedar Rapids to Iowa City.
In the July 14 incident, Hansen was accused of having a .247 blood-alcohol level after police stopped her in Iowa City. The legal limit in Iowa is .08.

I had arrested a female and brought her to jail, she was gonna be released to her friends, when they came to pick her up all of the friends were drinking. All the females were under 21 and when i asked why they came to the jail having been drinking they said they wished that all the cops were out on a call or had a cold. They all got underage consumption tags and got to sit at the jail for 3 hours with the friend till one blew .000. People are just stupid
