MCKINNEY, Texas -- Police said they have made an arrest in connection with the murder of 40-year-old Sarah Walker.

McKinney police said they arrested Kosoul Chanthakoummane, 25, based on "tips" that came in after police released sketches of a possible suspect. Investigators said the man in the sketch was seen in the area in which the home sales agent was slain.

Chanthakoummane is a convicted felon from North Carolina and was in North Texas living with family while on parole.

Investigators believe Chanthakoummane acted alone and have not revealed any motive in the woman's slaying.

Officials said they are confident that Chanthakoummane is the killer and have forensic evidence linking him to the crime, NBC 5 reported.

Walker's body was found July 8 inside a model home by a couple shopping for homes in McKinney. She had suffered 27 stab wounds.

Chanthakoummane has been charged with captial murder and is being held on $1 million bond.
