Three Men Face Conspiracy Charges

FORT WORTH, Texas -- A Fort Worth man, along with two others, faces conspiracy charges after being accused of allegedly shipping stolen military equipment to Yemen.
Investigators said a two-year probe revealed that three men, including 40-year-old Ibrahim Omer of Fort Worth, tried to sell top secret documents in the Middle East.

The investigation into the men began when agents traced a shipment of chemical suits and body armor to Fort Worth.
Government agents arranged for one of the men, Amen Ahmed Ali, 56, to meet with an undercover government agent. Federal prosecutors said that Ali received from the man what he believed were secret defense documents that he, in turn, shipped to Yemen.
The men also reportedly had plans to buy stolen Army equipment.
"These indictments serve to remind us of the ever-present need to safeguard America's national security both here and abroad," said McGregor Scott, U.S. attorney.
The third man, who has been indicted but not arrested, is accused of traveling to Yemen to broker the deal.
All three men, who were born in Yemen but are U.S. citizens, face conspiracy charges.
Omer is currently being held in a Louisiana jail and is expected to appear in court Friday. If convicted, he could face 15 years in prison and a $1.25 million fine.

Since they are US Citizens now I say charge them with espionage (sp?) and fry them!! Don't need to be a government agent for that charge I wouldn't think.
