Man busted for driving while watching porn

AIKEN, S.C. (AP) — As if talking on a cell phone isn't distraction enough, police in Aiken, South Carolina, have busted a man for what you might call DWP, driving with porn.

Officers say Tracy Pope had an X-rated DVD playing on an in-car video system. The charges he faces include felony disseminating or promoting obscenity. That's because authorities say a kid could have looked into the car and spotted the porno on the video screen.

Police say they also seized several X-rated DVDs from the vehicle, including the one that was playing.

A Jack Jones Street resident was arrested late Wednesday for driving down Kershaw Street, watching a pornographic movie on a vehicle video system, incident reports state.

Tracy Pope, 37, is charged with disseminating or promoting obscenity and placing a television monitor in view of the driver, officials said.

Officers spotted a GMC Yukon turning on to Kershaw Street around 11:55 p.m.

As the officers were looking at the vehicle, police report having an unobstructed view of a television monitor suspended from the ceiling of the vehicle. The movie was pornographic, the incident report states.

Public Safety pulled Pope over.

Inside the vehicle were four other pornographic DVDs.

Pope was taken to the Aiken County detention center, police reports state.

thats all u need for this sicko to drive around by a school or something with his pants down so lock his ass up. if he wanted to watch a porno he should of done it at home.

watching porn while driving? now they will put new warnings on the DVD'S saying "Do not drive and watch, it can be bad for your health"

Yea I have seen many in all three places I have worked in law enforcement watching porno on their car vid's....most are stupid enough to even have it where the driver can watch it too.....which is another offense of the law since it can't be visible to the driver under state law....I don't get the local paper, but all I can say is good for APS for the bust.
