Video Shows Philly Officers' Patrol Car Prank
When it comes to practical jokes and pranks, local police have seen their share of silly stunts.
Video posted on YouTube shows some of Philadelphia's finest vandalizing another officer's patrol car.
Elyse Wilson, the woman who shot the video, told NBC 10 that she couldn't believe her eyes.
"We thought they were cleaning up a vandalized car at first," Wilson said.
But the video shows that the Philadelphia officers were actually playing a joke on a fellow officer.
The video shows them using rolls of toilet paper and gobs of shaving cream.
"We saw them rolling the toilet paper around it we realized what we were getting on film was really priceless," Wilson said.
Wilson, a communication student at the University of the Arts, shot the video in late September.
She saw it from her kitchen window in South Philly. She said when the officer returned to his car he knew he'd been had.
"He was laughing. He was laughing. I mean, it's a funny joke," Wilson said.
Wilson put the video YouTube.com, a video sharing Web site. Now, it's the talk of the town.
"I think that's hilarious," said Bridget Gentener, of Fishtown.
"I don't think that's funny at all," said Deborah Elliott, of Philadelphia.
Fun or not, police officials said they are investigating.
Temple University psychologist Frank Farley said the video just shows police are human, too.

All in good fun, but I'd bet it caused some citizen complaints. I can hear it now, "Is this what my tax dollars are going to?"
Cops can't do anything without the cameras rolling. Don't these guys know this by now?
I hope no one got in trouble for that silly shit.

Apparently there is an investigation underway to decide whether or not to suspend or discipline the Officer's involved.
I personally think it's stupid and nobody should have to waste their time looking into something like this. But on the other hand the Officer's should have realized that what they were doing wasn't a great idea with cameras being everywhere now. Hopefully they were off-duty.Calm Like A Bomb...

Like we all haven't had a little fun at our co-workers expense. Good grief. However, they should know better than to let themselves get caught red handed.
And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.

I think that what people think about you is all about the image the you send to them. Even though it's a prank, people won't take it well. What's sad is that just a bunch of guys can do it and people seeing them would think it's funny and no one would think twice. People tend to forget that LEOs are just people too....it's sad

Of course the liberal media is blowing it out of proportion. It was a joke, it was a slow night, get over it. Like people say, oh why arent you out there arresting bad guys? It's 30 below zero and there isn't a sould on the street and the radio is dead. Get over it. What did htey get caught red handed doing? Playing a joke? Who cares? people do it all the time. I bet that pinko commie that actually sent the thing into the news is some one that does bs on work time anyways. It is rediculous that that even made the news.
