SFC James D. Priestap

SFC James D. Priestap, a Platoon Sergeant in the Michigan Army National Guard and a Police Officer at the department of Veterans Affairs died on Thanksgiving Day after being shot by a sniper while he worked woth local Iraqi Police.

SFC Priestap set the standard for what a leader should be and was as dedicated to his military family as he was his home family.
