Off-duty state trooper, woman killed in 1-car crash

WATERFORD, N.J. (AP) A car driven by an off-duty state police trooper struck a tree early Sunday, killing him and a female passenger and seriously injuring another man in the vehicle.
Robert Parducci Jr., 27, of Atco, was driving the car when the crash occurred just before 3 a.m. on Hayes Mill Road in Waterford Township, authorities said. Parducci and Jennifer Kehrli, 37, of Hammonton, who was riding in the front seat, were pronounced dead a short time later.
Anthony Shendock of Atco, who was sitting in a rear seat, was flown via medical helicopter to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was listed in critical condition.
The cause of the accident remained under investigation Monday by the Waterford Police Department and the state police fatal accident unit.
