My supervisor was Murdered last night
Lt. "Big Ed" Vidulich, my supervisor, was found murdered last night in his home. The suspects are still at large. I really can't type right now. Big Ed was a good guy. He'd give anyone the shirt off his back.
Big Ed, you will be missed.
I have only one thing to say to the scum who did this: We are coming for you, and when we get you cornered, I hope you RESIST. I want you to pay dearly.
I'm crying. I can't keep going.

Wow,
Very sorry for your and your department's loss... Rest In Peace...Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of readiness to die.
If you are ashamed to stand by your colors, you had better seek another flag.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Damn, sooo sorry to hear this. Stay strong and if you need anything you know where to find all of us.
Rest easy Lt.Wise men stand behind me, brave men stand beside me, but only fools stand against me.
The force that propels you to prevail when you are put to a test of survival will be a mindset that refuses to accept nothing but winning.
Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to reach out and bitch slap that motherf*cker upside the head.

Visitation and Funeral Arrangements have been made, however, they are not public yet. I have them, but will probably not be back online before they are made public, so if you need them, you should be able to get them from one of the news websites.
If I get a chance, I'll post again, but it's looking like this is going to be a long shift.
No suspects yet that I'm aware of, but the entire department is taking this very very personally. There is supposed to be a press conference around 4pm CST today, I believe it will be broadcast online as well. The visitation and funeral plans will likely be given out then. His wife was a Sheriff's dispatcher, she was at work at the time.
Visitation is Tuesday evening
Funeral Wednesday morning
location and times TBA
