NJ police band member dies in NY parade
The Associated Press
Police say a member of the Police Pipes and Drums of Bergen County collapsed and died of an apparent heart attack while marching in the New York St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Fifty-nine-year-old Steve Dunne, a tenor drummer, collapsed near 75th Street and was pronounced dead at St. Luke's Hospital shortly after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Drum sergeant Jim McMorrow said Dunne, a retired New York City court officer from the Bronx, was a founding member of the band in 1992. McMorrow said he was unmarried and had no children.

I can't think of a better way to go than in a mass of pipes and drums.
