The Honorable Transfer of Sgt. Ervin Romans
Our Honor Guard unit assisted Oakland PD and the United States Marine Corps with the transfer of Sgt. Romans' remains at work the other day. His final resting place will be near Duluth, MN. Enjoy the pictures

There was also a story in one of the local papers the other week about the special cart a Northwest Airlines baggage handler came up with to transfer fallen soldier/officer remains. It's a good read.

A couple pictures show squad cars lined up outside the airfield fence line. Those vehicles belonged to multiple local agencies that showed up to pay their repects to Sgt. Romans. The plane landed, taxied in front of them, stopping for a brief moment as they passed by so they could salute him, then finished the taxi to the gate.

Your department's Honor Guard assissted in a great detail, nothing can show more respect than respecting a fallen brother/sister.

Great Job, Eric Besvold. I would expect nothing less coming from a military service member.
+ infinity Too bad this had to happen in the first place. But it is nice to know that there are measures in place for if and when it does.
