"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Updated article: Crash kills state trooper who served in Iraq, Afghanistan - The Daily Freeman News: Serving the Hudson Valley since 1871(DailyFreeman.com)
From what I understand he was passing a truck on Route 32, and while doing so the truck started to make a left turn. Most of the state routes in the area have 55mph speed limits and passing zones, which I believe this was. His car went off the road and struck a telephone pole on the driver side.
Trooper Dave Lane is an Army veteran, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and is survived by his parents. RIP brother."never bring paws to a gunfight" - Jenna

Thoughts and prayers.
I'm not ruining your life, you are, and I'm just going to write a short story about it.
