Parole petition to keep this cop killer in jail
Found this on another LE forum that I frequent.
Let's help this cop's widow out. She is the wife of a Kansas City, MO LEO that was killed in the line of duty.
Police Officer Thomas Richard Meyers, Kansas City Police Department
The killer is up for parole again.....and she was able to get the Missouri Dept of Corrections folks to let her set up a website petition that ANYONE can sign to keep this jackass in prison...... As she will print everything off and take the petition to them when the hearing is held......
Please, take the time to sign this.......and keep this man off the roads.....
In January 2008 our family has the unfortunate experience of facing another parole hearing for inmate Larry Bittick. On January 14, 1998, at 10:55 AM, Larry (while driving approximately 80 mph and 3 times above the legal limit for a drunk driver) killed my husband Officer Thomas R. Meyers with the Kansas City Missouri Police Department.
We feel it is extremely necessary that we work hard to get the support of the community with this being a 10 year hearing.
Missouri Department of Corrections Division of Probation & Parole has agreed to accept our website of names as an acceptable petition. There is additional info/links on the website concerning Officer Tom Meyers and the inmate.
If, after reading, you feel that you can support the Meyers Family, we would be enormously grateful. Please forward this email to family, friends and Tom’s Law Enforcement brothers and sisters.
THANK YOU for your time.

Done.SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.
