One Officer killed, one wounded in Jackson MI shooting
The Jackson police officer killed in a shooting early Tuesday on Mitchell Street was identified as James Bonneau.
Blackman Township Public Safety Officer Darrin McIntosh was shot in the lower body and taken to Allegiance, according to a release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Finco did not believe the injury was life threatening.
One officer shot and killed the suspect, Elvin Potts, 63, of Jackson, the release said.
