Authorities search for man who shot deputy
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Law enforcement agents from around the Baton Rouge area are looking for the man they believe shot an East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputy late Tuesday night.
The shooting happened during a traffic stop on Burbank Drive near Meadow Bend Drive around 11 p.m.
Sheriff's office spokeswoman Casey Hicks said the officer is expected to be recover. His name was not given.
Despite the fact that the shooting happened during a traffic stop, deputies said the suspect ran from the area.
Hicks said investigators have identified the suspect and are trying to find him.
She did not release his name or give a physical description of him.

We, local agencies, are being asked to not release any further information. The officer in question, it seems, will be ok.Do not war for peace. If you must war, war for justice. For without justice there is no peace. -me

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.
