Constable David Robinson, Leicestershire UK
Please follow this link to read the full story on a UK Police blog.
His personal website is here
In short, the above officer is suffering from an incurable brain tumour.
If an appeal is successful, David may be heading to take part in clinical trials in Durham, North Carolina which hopefully could extend and improve his life.
If this happens it would be great if some of the NC Law Enforcement Community could perhaps ensure he knows that he and those close to him will have some local support whilst he is undergoing the therapy.
Thanks all.A common mistake made when trying to come up with a totally foolproof design is to completely underestimate the innate ingenuity of fools.
The last thing I want to do is hurt you but it's still there on my list of options, so are you coming quietly.........?

Prayers for Constable Robinson.SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

All the shift have put into the fund following the national appeal.
£1 per officer is all thats needed. I put in more to make up for any tight arsed gits.the sole advantage of power is that you can do more good.

i hope he succeeds and gets to do the treatment. I wish I was in North Carolina to give a hand.Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American G.I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. ~ Anon
