Two Officers down
Two West Memphis (AR) Interdictions Officers were shot and killed on I-40 today at around noon (central time) today.
Both Officers died at the scene.
Bulletin received indicated that two Hispanic males were being sought.
Just received another one while I am typing: Both suspects were located, shot and killed at a Wal-Mart near where the incident occurred.
Condolences to the Officers families and friends, and the West Memphis PD.

West Memphis, Arkansas
News media has released names. One of the officers who died is the son of the West Memphis Police Chief. They were driving a van registered to a church in Ohio. They shot and killed the two West Memphis Officers, Then they drove to walmart and removed the plates from the vehicle and when officers showed up a shootout began in the parking lot. The Crittendon County Sheriff was shot in the shoulder, and the chief of patrol was shot multiple times in the abdomen and is listed in critical condition.
News media used a scanner to record the radio chatter during the shootout and plans to air the audio.
Both suspects are dead.

The van was a 1994 Plymouth caravan registered to a "church" in New Vienna, OH. The van was not reported stolen. The house of god's prayer church has property but doesn't hold worship services news media is reporting.
The sheriff and his deputy chief reportedly rammed the vehicle in the Walmart parking lot when the van tried to take off. The ensuing gun battle left the sheriff and deputy chief wounded, they were airlifted to the Med in Memphis, TN.

Joint visitation will be Sun from 5p-9p at West Memphis HS Lehr Arena, 503 West Broadway. Funeral same place. The funeral for Sgt Paudert Mon/10am. Officer Evans Mon/2pm.
