This really sucks all around. What's up with this?
(just venting a little here, we may never know what drives people to suicide and not get help. Especially a LEO.)
Didn't you guys in New Jersey have a similar situation a few months ago or so where the officer shot himself in the head while sitting in his car on a freeway access road? I think he was one of your State Troopers.
My condolences.
Shit. RIP sister.
Yes it was a Trooper.
What's really sad about this is that her father was a retired Lt. and her boyfirend works for the same dept. I know few people that work for that county and that dept. Truly sad..I don't know what drives people to suicides but I think we will never understand especially those in LE
The sad facts are that we stand a better chance of killing or shooting ourselves than we do of getting killed by someone else. I'm sure that many of us know more than one officer that took their own lives. It's always a tragedy.
Rest in Peace
Rest in peace.
Damn.
Rest well, and may your family find peace in time.
:(
Very sad.
Rest in peace.
R.I.P., Sister.........

one of my roomates\and my best friend.. when i was single ..and a fellow vietnam viet ..with 20 yrs on the job with cpd in the shakspere distric..t married w/a 3 yr old daughter took his life with his handgun ..to this day i really dont know why he did it ..if u met him u would think ..no way would this guy kill himself ..i still miss him ...
There are a lot of things that people deal with. It is sometimes difficult for an officer to reach out for help for fear of appearing weak or unstable.
Rest well, sister. I pray you found the peace you were looking for.
