FREDONIA, Ariz. — Authorities were using helicopters and tracking dogs in the search for a man who allegedly shot and killed a Utah sheriff's deputy near the Arizona-Utah border.
A Coconino County sheriff's spokeswoman said authorities were chasing 23-year-old Scott Curley, from the Fredonia area, on foot when he allegedly shot a Kane County, Utah, sheriff's deputy with a high-powered scope rifle Thursday afternoon.
