BBC News - Policeman killed in Wakefield M1 crash

A policeman has been killed in a collision involving a HGV on the M1 near Wakefield, the West Yorkshire Police Federation has said.
PC Mark Goodlad was hit after stopping to help a woman whose car had broken down between junctions 40 and 39 on the southbound carriageway, police believe.
The driver of the HGV has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

There was silence all around the throne
