Alabama Deputy Shot and Tennessee Officer Injured by Same Suspect
Sorry that I didnt post this earlier. This happened in my area. The support these officers have been getting is great. This could have ended so much worse. We are so thankful that deputy Beavers was able to backup his patrol car under fire while injured. Otherwise, he may not be here today. He is one heck of a cop. The Fayetteville officers did a great job too.
From AL.COM: HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- A Madison County Sheriff's deputy is in the hospital and a Fayetteville, Tenn., police officer is wounded after separate encounters with an armed man late Monday, Sheriff Blake Dorning said:

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.
