RIP Sandy. I know her family, they're great people. This is hitting the community pretty hard.
The same SOB that ambushed and murdered Sandy apparently also murdered his pregnant girlfriend earlier this morning. They've caught him, I hope he takes a gut wound from a dirty shiv in prison and dies a slow, agonizing death over the course of weeks.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

expecting trouble?" "No Ma'am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have
brought my rifle."

it is just that they know so much that isn't so.

Rest In Peace my Sister. May God grant you eternal rest and may He also look over your family and grant them peace now, in their most extreme moment of sorrow.

The views, opinions, stupid off the cuff comments, mouthy, obnoxious, thoughtless, etc etc etc are not always or even some of the time the belief of my department, so bugger off!

Her visitation was yesterday, I went. The line to give condolences was two and a half hours long and there were only a handful of people who didn't elect to wait the full time.
The lowlife that did it is trying to pretend he's insane. I hope they fire up the electric chair for him.
