Another Colorado LODD
Police Officer Matthew Tyner, Colorado Springs Police Department, Colorado
I can't F'n wait for 2012 to be over. There's been a black cloud over this great state all year.Police Officer Matt Tyner was killed in a motorcycle accident while performing traffic enforcement on Austin Bluffs Parkway, Oro Blanco Drive and Old Farm Drive, shortly after 2:30 pm.
His motorcycle collided with another vehicle, causing him to suffer fatal injuries.
Officer Tyner had served with the Colorado Springs Police Department for 13 years and had previously served with the Kansas City Police Department for six years. He was assigned to the Specialized Enforcement Motorcycle Unit.

Matt was a defensive tactics instructor when I came on. We've been friends ever since. If you were going into a life or death situation, and could hand pick 5 guys from the entire department to go with you, Matt would be on that list every time. He was also the kind of guy who would drop whatever he was doing if you needed a hand with something.
There aren't many truly great people in this world. And now we have one less.
Rest in peace buddy. The world would be much cleaner if blind people carried brooms instead of sticks.
At communion, when the priest says "Body of Christ", I say "Thanks, I've been working out", then I grab the cracker and run back to my seat

They've got us surrounded? Good. Now we can fire in any direction. Those bastards won't get away this time.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Sorry for your loss, brother.

Rest In Peace my Brother. May God grant you eternal rest and may He also look over your family and grant them peace now, in their most extreme moment of sorrow.
