While I never agree with critiquing the actions of fallen or injured officers, I do strongly believe in learning from their deaths, to prevent future tragedies.

Unfortunately, the lesson here is one that's been decided long ago, yet I still see it happening all the time.

Bad guys get handcuffed behind the BACK.

And everyone needs to search THOROUGHLY. Whether you're arresting a guy on a murder charge, or somebodies grandma for unpaid parking tickets, everyone gets searched completely.
