Officer wounded in Virginia police station attack dies
A second officer critically wounded during a gunfight outside a northern Virginia police station last week has died.
Michael Garbarino died in the hospital early Wednesday morning.
He was shot five times while he sat in his vehicle in the parking lot of the police station in Chantilly on May Eighth. The attack also claimed the life of another officer, Detective Vicky
Armel.
The gunman was killed at the scene.

I personally feel that we, as police officers, feel "ten feet tall and bulletproof" when we are in our "safe zone", such as the police station, at home with our family, in a coffee shop with six other cops, etc. As I teach new cops as a PPCT instructor and an FTO, you ALWAYS need to be aware of your surroundings and, you ALWAYS need to be prepared to defend yourself. It sucks to be constantly vigilant like that, but unfortunately you become a moving target for every psycho with an agenda as soon as you take the oath. Peace to his family and his soul.....................
