Wis. DOC LODD
This announcement came through from the Secretary of the DOC:
It's with deepest regret that I share with you the untimely passing of CO Jim Teynor while on duty today at PDCI. Jim advised another officer that he wasn't feeling well, sat down and momentarily after became unconscious. In spite of the valiant efforts by PDCI staff, Jim did not survive. Jim was 40 years old, not married and had no children. He was a 12 year veteran of the DOC and will be greatly missed.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the PDCI staff that worked so hard in trying to bring Jim back amongst us. You did everything possible, exactly as your training taught you and your efforts were nothing short of heroic. There is no doubt in my mind that Jim knows all you did, but unfortunately there was another plan that called him away that none of us could control.
Please keep Jim Teynor, his family, friends and coworkers in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God Bless.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.
