Flying Squad Officer, Metropolitan Police, London
Detective Constable Russ Carter, a colleague/friend of mine, lost his battle with cancer at 0345hrs (GMT) today.
He was diagnosed with cancer a year ago and chemotherapy seemed to be working but, 2 weeks ago, he was told that the cancer had spread to his esophagus and that there was nothing more that could be done for him.
Russ is survived by his wife and their 3 children aged 14, 11 and 9.
Russ, you will be missed by so many. Love you lots.
