I noticed several photos from Officer Hank Nava's (Fort Worth PD) funeral. His was the first (and only) LE funeral I've attended and I can only say it was the most heart-wrenching, amazing and inspiring experience of my life. Words cannot describe the outpouring of respect...from other officers as well as the community. Seeing this video took me right back there and I feel the awe and respect once again.

That's ok that the video was posted before. Lots of new members here. My father was a State Trooper here in Arkansas that was killed during a traffic stop. This happened 5 months before I was born(1969) and this year was the first year I was able to go to Washington D.C. for National Police Week. It was heart warming to attend the activites and see the respect that was shown from President Bush down to the Citizens on the street as we passed. Thanks for the video and who ever created it.

I'm glad you liked it. I spent some time researching the photos and sound for this. PLD...I thought Officer Hank Nava's (Fort Worth PD) funeral photos were some of the most powerful I came across. It must've been a very emotional time for everyone there.

Please forward this video to everyone you know and ask them to do the same. Being in law enforcement, we all know and accept the hazards of the job but lately the violence towards police has gotten out of control. I personally have a connection to both the LAPD female officer and the Downey officer who were both shot on seperate occasions within the last couple of weeks. The more people see a powerful, emotional experience like End of Watch, the more they will relate to police as human beings. Not just icons in a uniform who can be discarded without a second thought.

Thanks for taking control of an important message.

Thank you for posting this video. I have just posted information about a member who was shot and killed on 6/16/06 and another shot during the incident. the funeral is tomarrow and this video shows how all officers need to be remimbered.

Thank-you Cst.SB. It was an honor including your fallen four in the video. That was a very sad moment in time for the RCMP and all of the law enforcement family everywhere. And thanks for sharing your video of it as well. I found it to be very sad and profound.

WOW!! I've been to many funerals of our lost brothers and sisters. some very close to me.(especially after 9-11) this video really hit me hard. I shed tears then and i shed them again after watching the whole video. GREAT TRIBUTE....................... .

Wow! I admit I sat and watched the video and cried. I have been involved in 4 line of duty deaths as well as several for others who died while employed. The most recent lide of duty death funeral was this past April 28th. Cpl. Scott Severns of the South Bend Police Department in Indiana was off duty when he and a female friend were robbed at gunpoint. Cpl. Severns pushed his friend to safety and engaged the scum. He was able to wound his killer, but Cpl. Severns succombed to his wounds. It is hard to relate to the emotions unless you have been through it.
The first line of duty death I dealt with was Cpl. Paul Deguch on August 24, 1997. Shot and killed by a 16 year old punk. The next was December of December 13, 2003. Two Mishawaka officers(a city bordering to our east) were killed. I went to the academy with one, Cpl. Tom Roberts. The other, Ptl. Bryan Verkler, was a gentle giant.
Unless you have heard the bagpipes float over an open cemetery, or crossed under the crossed fire department aerials with the US Flag, or watched row after row of police cars ride with their lights flashing, you cannot understand.

That was very beautifully done. Even though reading a bunch of typing doesn't show much emotion, this was very touching.
