It's always bad but somehow always seems worse when it's one of your shift or team involved. Everyone blames themselves for things like this when they are out of our control. (the control freak nature of many cops I think).

Hey Will, though my situation was a little different, I know what you are going through. Back in December I was involved in a shooting with other officers and it messed me up big time. If you need anything, PM me and I will give you my cell and we will talk. I wont be able to get back on here until tonight, due to work.
Also is there a fund being set up?

I think it is normal for your brain to replay the scene while you sleep - you're trying to see where you could have acted differently.

You know in your heart that you did everything you could - your instincts and training made sure of that - so don't beat yourself up.

If I was closer, I'd bake these for real - sorry they are only cyber cookies.
