Our Department Lost an Officer Tonight (not in the line of duty)
I don't have all the details but we lost an officer tonight around 7pm. He was on his personal motorcycle and got struck by a drunk driver. The drunk driver is in custody. The officer's name is Brett Chan. He leaves behind a wife and two children. If you can keep his family and friends in your prayers. This guy was an awesome friend, officer, member of our SWAT team, currently assigned to our training department. He was an excellent source for officer's safety and tactics.
My prayers to Brett, his family and friends.

RIP my brother rest easy we shall continue your watch.
Being the best is not what always counts. What counts is always trying your best.
Remember who you are, and where you came from. That way you never get a big head.
May those that lost their lives in 9-11 RIP, for the things you did not many could do. You left so many behind so that you could save so few. For now we stand strong as one, and will not look back till the fight is done. (me)

May angels lead him in.
Prayers sent. There’s a promise I need you to make
While I’m gone you take care of the love
And I’ll deal with the hate.
Don’t worry about me; I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe on my watch tonight

I'm so very sorry!
On the job or not, He's still a hero, and His brother/sister Officers will take over his watch.
Our Love is with you Sir, take that walk to Jesus, because one day we all will come together!
