Baton Rouge Officer down
Baton Rouge Police Officer Dies in Accident
Baton Rouge police confirm that a motorcycle officer died this morning from injuries sustained in a traffic accident.
Police say the accident happened on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard south of Interstate 12.
Sergeant Don Kelly says the unidentified officer was struck by a car making a left turn near the intersection of Newcastle and Sherwood.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
This is all of the information I have at this time I will post more when able.
