Morva was spotted this morning on Huckleberry Trail near Virginia Tech. The Tech campus has been put on lockdown on this, the first day of classes. Lieutenant Vincent Houston with the campus police department says there were several sightings of Morva on campus after the shooting.

Corporal Sutphin was a 13-year veteran law enforcement officer and had been a deputy with Montgomery County for three years. He is survived by his wife and twin daughters, and his mother.

I hope he resists when caught and there is no choice but deadly force. Save tax payers the cost of a trial and incarceration.

I would imagine knowing he killed two people, one a police officer, the guy isn't going to go without a fight. He should know he'll probably either get death or spend the rest of his life in jail.

I say he gets death and its handed out Judge Dread style!!!!

Glad they got the bastard. Hope he rots in jail until his execution.

Man this hits close to home as its about an hour away.
Our Tac guys were sent up there this afternoon and one of the officers that they were slated to relieve found the guy. From what I was told the guy gave up without a fight and had it been 10 minutes laters one of our guys would have found him. I was slated to go up there tommorrow morning had they not caught him.
I was told that the deputy that was killed was the one that shot a killed a suspect a few years ago that shot and killed a Christiansburg PD officer.

Visitation for Cpl. Sutphin will be at Richardson Horne Funeral Home will be 8-23-06 from 1500 to 1800. Funeral Services will be at 1100 on 8-24-06. Arrival at Gateway Plaza Parking Lot in Christiansburg should be at 0930 or earlier. The police procession will be escorted to the Church at 1015. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery on South Franklin Street.
