The Magical Pick Up Line Generator

A Smile
A smile cost nothing, but gives so much.
It enriches those who receive it,without making poorer those who give.It takes but a moment, but the memoryof it sometimes lasts forever.
None is so rich or mighty that hecan get along without it,and none is so poor but thathe can be made rich by it.
A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business, and is the countersign of friendship.
It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad,and it is nature's best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed,or stolen, for it is something that is of novalue to anyone until it is given away.
Some people are too tired to give you a smile.Give them one of yours, as none needs a smileso much as he who has no more to give.

Your Pickup Line Is
You be the tree and I'll wrap you like a Koala.
Now tell the truth how many of you would say the line above or any of the other lines it may generate. Should I do a poll?

On the contrary, guys didn't use pick-up lines in past centuries--they just approached the father of the girl they liked and offered him some livestock in exchange for her hand in marriage.
Girls didn't use pick-up lines on guys, either--if they liked the guy their father sold them to, they showed it by not trying to escape.

Since I wasn't alive in that age we can only go by what we've heard in the past. But I gotta a feeling pick up lines have been used for longer then you or I realize.
By the way Jenna, my reply was meant for the world has been a sad place for centuries.Last edited by Roses; 12-26-06 at 12:15 PM.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
A pick-up line is intended to be short and easy method of "picking up" (i.e., engaging) another person for sex or romance. They are usually used to initiate a conversation (an opener). The line is usually brief, and is intended to display wit and arousal to its targeted listener. However, the very nature of pick-up lines, short and often crude, means that there is a low chance of success when they are used.
Pick-up lines can vary from the generic (e.g., "If I said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me?") to more crude versions (e.g., "Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?"); however most pick-up lines are ineffective, resulting in rejection of the user. A University of Chicago study found that "hi" was the most effective pick-up line.[1][2]
It is a common misconception that the seduction community is about using a bunch of "pick up lines".ment
